The FSX TrapTester™ is an airflow test bench designed for testing diesel particulate filters (DPF). The FSX TrapTester™ is the most widely used DPF test bench in the world. It is recommended by original engine manufacturers (OEM) remanufacturing centers and dealers worldwide. The machine is simple and easy to use. Test results from the FSX TrapTester™ can be compared to the FSX Baselines Chart which lists target pressure ratings for each DPF by part number.

Accurate Testing
The FSX TrapTester™ airflow test bench is calibrated at the FSX Factory. The only calibration adjustment needed is to zero out the gauge (using a small screwdriver) to adjust the gauge for elevation or ambient air conditions.
An airflow test is conducted by placing the DPF dirty side up over the inlet hole. When the machine is turned on it will immediately read pressure across the filter. The total test time is about 30 seconds. The test result is compared to the FSX Baselines Chart for the corresponding DPF part number. If the DPF is within acceptable operating parameters the filter is good to reinstall.
FSX testing standards based on the FSX Baseline Chart are used worldwide. As new filters are released into the marketplace FSX identifies them and updates the baseline database.
Fits Most Filters
Most large DPF can be placed directly over the 10″ inlet hole on the test bench. If the diameter of the DPF to be tested is smaller than the 10″ inlet hole adapter plates can be used to accommodate filter sizes down to 4″ in outside diameter. The set of adapter plates included with the FSX TrapBlaster™ is compatible with the FSX TrapTester™ as well.
